Beelz’s original characters

My characters are inspired by history, mythology, personal experiences, and the media I love. For more mature content and extended lore, you can find me on my Patreon.

Three at Dusk

A gentleman of war, a lady of ruin, and a man of cloth - terribly unsuited, and utterly inseparable. London sleeps while they live, beautifully and unnaturally, behind curtains and locked doors.

Lord Gereon Hale

A former soldier and reluctant aristocrat. He never quite fit among the high-born, speaks little, and wears a moustache picked up during his travels east, unfashionable in London, but he keeps it anyway. It was there in the east where he first crossed paths with something ancient, a shadow that followed him home.
Gereon could’ve lived a soft life, had every chance to. But he was always drawn to trouble, not out of recklessness, but a sense of duty that didn’t always belong to him. He fought in wars that had nothing to do with England, believing in causes that didn’t need his help. That’s how he met the nobleman, charming, curious, and far older than he seemed. In a moment of misplaced trust, Gereon spoke of London. Of its softness, its excess. He thought he was making conversation. He didn’t know he was inviting something in. When he realized what the man truly was, he tried to stop him. Too late. The noble turned him - a punishment, a warning, a joke. Now Gereon carries the weight of that mistake in silence, forever.

Lady Marianne Hale (neé Ashcroft)

Marianne used to be the darling of society. She was beautiful, well-spoken, always the brightest in the room - the kind of woman people imagined as a perfect wife, and she had no shortage of suitors. Then came the scandal that ruined everything. The offers dried up and so did the invitations.
But truthfully, Marianne always wanted more. Books had shown her world bigger than drawings rooms. Vampirism wasn’t a curse, it was her way out, her choice. She’s passionate, selfish sometimes, and full of restless want. She didn’t want a quiet life, she wanted eternity, and all the trouble that comes with it.

Mr. Ambrose Fairborne

Once a clergyman of deeply questionable talent, Ambrose’s sermons were less divine inspiration and more meandering confusion - memorable only for their unintended comedy. It was during one such sermon, that Gereon first laid eyes on him.
After being turned, Ambrose gained immortality but little else. The transformation did nothing to smooth his edges or grant him unearthly elegance so common among his kind. He remains an awkward fixture in drawing rooms and crypts alike, prone to tripping over thresholds, misquoting scripture, and offering handshakes when a bow would suffice. Still, there’s a strange magnetism to him, whatever it is, some people love him for it.

How they became vampires

Gereon, while fighting a war in the East, befriends a noble - a certain Mojmír of Velehrad. He speaks to him often of London, his home. Mojmír is intrigued, though not for the reasons Gereon believes, and accepts an open invitation to visit. When Gereon returns to London, he soon learns what the ancient noble truly is, a bloodthirsty monster. Desperate to stop him, Gereon forms an unlikely team: a priest with no grace and a socialite with nothing to lose. Their names are Ambrose and Marianne. But Marianne has a goal of her own. She’s not there to kill Mojmír, she wants to be like him. She uses Gereon to find him. She succeeds. And in the process, Mojmír turns all three of them.

TEMNO

TEMNO is a prestigious nightclub in Prague, known for its neon glow and dark, underground vibe. Hidden within the stone walls of a medieval monastery, it’s a haven for criminals, corrupt elites, and anyone looking to escape the city’s daylight rules.

Rado

Radoslav was born in Czechoslovakia and raised in East Berlin in a violent, impoverished home. After a rough youth of theft and arson, he turned to sex work - until a failed blackmail nearly got him killed. He fled to Prague, where he rose fast. Now a drug and weapons dealer with influence across Eastern Europe, Rado rules a criminal empire from the city he calls home. At 5’3”, he’s often underestimated. Tracksuits, eyeliner, and gold, he’s a flashy, volatile presence in elite circles. Emotionally numb and envious of the intact, he surrounds himself with sycophants and occasionally takes on contract kills with mixed results

Olga

Tall, slim, and beautiful, Olga understood early on that beauty alone doesn’t always pay what it should - not unless you know how to use it. She grew up in a normal middle-class home with all the usual expectations: med school, law school, something respectable. But Olga had no interest in studying or working the way they meant it. Instead, she disappeared into the margins, a brothel first, lying about her age and everything else, and doing it well. Years later, she emerged as something else entirely: a high-end dominatrix with a client list that spans Europe. Elegant, razor-sharp, and always in control, Olga doesn’t just deal in pain - she deals in secrets, and collects them like currency. She’s one of the few people Rado actually trusts. Maybe not a friend. But close enough.

Cremator Cliff

Ruthless mobster with a fearsome reputation.

Míša

Míša is loud, loyal, and utterly useless. Once got a penis tattoo on his face after losing a bet and wears it like a badge of honor. He’s more talk than action - confident to the point of delusion, constantly running his mouth, and oblivious to how little he contributes. Rado keeps him around as a fall guy, a scapegoat, or just for entertainment. He worships Rado like a rockstar and has an unrequited (and very obvious) crush on Olga.

Ice Pick Joe

An aging Italian-American mobster, Ice Pick Joe carries a lifeline of wild, half-true stories and a reputation that refuses to die.

Mojmir of Velehrad

A vampire noble with origins in Great Moravia. He once befriended Gereon, followed him to London, and eventually turned Gereon, Marianne, and Ambrose into vampires.
